Ahh... It really feels like Christmas now. Is anyone else feeling it? I hated it last month, how we were already playing Christmas music at work... I was like "NOT NOW!", because I hate listening to Christmas music if it's not appropriate. I think this may be my last Christmas at home - but even if I move out, I will always bug my parents, and stay over every Christmas. Haha~ I feel even more Christmas-y because it snowed a BUNCH today - about 6 inches, I think... not too sure. But it sure is pretty...

The view outside my window ... well, outside the window in the hall... close enough.

And this is our Christmas tree... and some of the decorations... feels so nice~ I set the camera down, and timed it to take this picture, but the lights are still blurred like this... I wonder why.

Also, my dad's cousin wrote a Christmas song. My parents were playing it earlier today, and it has a really nice feel to it... I feel touched. His name is Cam (I believe his band is called Cam Penner and the Gravel Road) and the song is called Balsam Fir. I really like it when the trumpet comes in... and when I first heard it, I thought that the accordian was actually a harmonica...

I finished some of my Christmas shopping already. I think I'm spending a bit much, but... oh well~ ^^; I need to finish up soon~

Because I love them so much, I want to post up the live version of this song... And yeah, this is the same DJ that performed with HALCALI in Chicago... and... I really like Haruka's (long hair) voice... I can always hear her when they are singing together... everytime I remember seeing them on stage in Chicago, I get a little choked up... I really want to see them again...

I finally got to watch the Lucky Star OVA the other day. So full of random! I was happy to see Shirashi actually show up a couple times~ WAWAWA忘れ物... I loved the whole MMORPG scene, and the dream scene... and the Keroro/Tamama scene was creepy, but so hilarious! I really hope they make a second OVA, or a second season... I really like the randomness, and the continual referrences to otaku culture and anime/manga/games. Now I've gone and downloaded some of their albums... actually, a recent one... Lucky Star Music Fair~! I've only heard a couple of songs, but so far, the album is really good~~ The songs are cute, and there are a ton of Shirashi/Akira songs~!

EPIC

Lately, I've been paying more attention to Patti... she's super cute! So I was happy when I saw that she had a song on this album! Oh, the excitement of being an otaku! Patti understands...

Oh, I also wanted to mention, that this year's SaiMoe (which is a contest to see which anime girl is most moe) winner is Kagamin from Lucky Star~ Although she's not moe to me, I'm glad someone from Lucky Star won....

And... I've been addicted to WebKare lately... it's an online dating sim... kind of ^^ I think someone here would be interested in it ^^ Ohoho.... I like to poke my Kare...

Haha... I don't care how ridiculous they look, or how annoying they may sound, I think they are cute!! This song is so cute and energetic... I dunno, somehow, I can't escape it. Alot of people think it's ridiculous, but c'mon, this is a song for a children's anime opening... so, of course it's going to be this hopped up... ^^;

"Milky Way consists of Kusumi Koharu (Morning Musume, pictured in the middle), Kikkawa Yuu (HaroPro Eggs, on the left), and Kitahara Sayaka (HaroPro Eggs, right). Their debut single, "Anataboshi", will be the new opening theme to Koharu's anime, "Kirarin Revolution". The c/w track "Sansan GOGO" will be the new ending theme." -hello-online.org

Anyways, in other HP! news, I read that Aibon is coming back~! Not to HP! and not as a singer, but as an actress... I'm glad she's coming back. She was always one of my favorites, and it was really sad when she was kicked out of HP!... Ah, they are so strict. Also seems like her and her manager have started up a fansite/blog called Biscuit Club. She looks much more mature now... especially with her short hair. I'm just glad that she is able to work again, after her scandals... really now, those aren't even scandals... bah...

Every week, it's a new obsession, eh? ^__^ This week (actually, the last couple of weeks) I've been really into some of the stuff produced by NicoNico Douga as well as including stuff by the software that produces computer generated voices called Vocaloid 2... and this program generates a really cute voiced girl named Miku Hatsune. I have started seeing more and more stuff using this program on Youtube, and I've become obsessed... some of the stuff that the Japanese create is just so awesome~ I've started a bit of a playlist on Youtube so I can watch this stuff all the time, and I'll post a couple of my favorite videos here...

Videos under cut... )

Anyways, I guess the main reason I posted this is because... it seems like GoodSmile Company is planning on making a Miku Hatsune Nendoroid figure~!! I'm most likely getting this... which kind of sucks, because I still want to get the Lucky Star ones, and perhaps the Haruhi ones... Anyways, you can read up a little about it here~! But here are a couple of photos of her...

I really want her~! <3

Lately, I've been listening to the jpop group, Monkey Majik. I wonder if they got popular suddenly or something, because they have quite a few albums, and I've never heard of them before... hmm... Anyways, Monkey Majik, suprisingly consists of two Canadian guitarists/singers who are brothers, and then a Japanese drumer and bassist. I love that this group is made up of people from the two worlds that I'm intersted in... I'm just so happy to see that Canadian guys can make it big in Japan as musicians~! Not only that, but they sing in both English and Japanese~ Their songs are so catchy too... I really am in love with them currently~ <3 My favorite songs currently are Sora wa Marude, Pretty People, Gandara, Around the World, and Change... so, I'm posting the PV for Change... I love the instruments used in this song... enjoy it, or else...

I really should be working on my homework or finish my laundry or something... I'm such a procrastinator... haaa... Yesterday, I took a nap around 4 or so, and woke up at 9, had something to eat, then fell asleep again. I then woke up around 1 in the morning, got some water, then went back to bed... ..... .... I woke up pretty early today though. Lately, all I want to do is sleep... it's pretty bad... I don't really know why I'm so tired. I need to get more exercise~!! I'll try hard~!! ....tomorrow....

Anyways, Perfume released a new single (Polyrhythm), and of course, I really like it ^__^ I've been listening to it nonstop for a couple of days now~ I guess polyrhythm is a bit of a difficult word to say with Japanese pronunciation... Hehe... I don't think their is one of their songs that I dislike... They are so cute, and their songs are just so upbeat~ Yeah yeah...

Went to see "Hairspray" for the third time today... I'm gonna buy it when it comes out on DVD!

Parapara. Have you heard of it? Haha... I kind of get into it, and slowly drift aways, as with everything I obsess over. Parapara is a type of dancing from japan that consists mainly of moving your arms. I used to parapara alot before to HINOI Team, because some of the dances were easy, like Night of Fire and Super Euro Flash, while others were more fun, like Play with the Numbers or Ike Ike... ^__^ I enjoy dancing parapara, because the arm movements are fun, and work at killing the fat in your arms~ Haha~ So, I recently got back into Parapara with Gyaruru's latest song, Boom Boom Meccha Macho (really... who comes up with these titles and lyrics?)... I was a little shocked, because I heard the Tsuji Nozomi (graduated from Morning Musume, duo with Ai Kago in W) was in the original version of this song, but the song was rerecorded after Tsuji announced her pregnancy (Nono's pregnant?! How did that happen~?) So, I'm a little disappointed that I missed all this... but I'm very happy for another fun parapara group~! Anyways, their single:

I've already have the chorus down, but the rest of it, I still need to learn~ It's easy to learn each movement, but it's hard to remember when going at full speed... I always get mixed up~! I have to say though that this is one of the most energetic parapara's I've done in a while...

Oh, by the way, if you wish to learn this dance, you can watch the step by step on youtube here.

Recently, I've gotten re-addicted to the japanese girl group, Perfume. They have totally cute music, upbeat and fun. Their music is kind of a mix of pop and techno, and all their songs are so catchy~ I've been listening to one song non-stop for a while now called Chocolate Disco~ Super cute and nice beat, and lyrics are super easy to learn~! But anyways, go see for yourself...

Yay~! Another song/pv review/whatever~! This time I'm addicted to one of AAA's most recent songs, That's Right! The song is very addicting, and I love the chorus part... haha... I feel like getting up and singing this at the top of my lungs... Okay, maybe not. Anyways, I haven't been following AAA very well since their Kimono Jet Girl single, but I recently got into them again, remembering how much I love their music, even if they are just a money making band - c'mon, 16 singles, 3 albums, 2 side albums and 3 mini albums in less than 2 years!!! Holy carp! They pump out the music so fast, that it is hard to keep up. But I really love this single, so let's get to it. I'm not very good with critiquing anything, because I only like to talk about what I like.... haha... The music is really fast, and I love the beat. And I love their voices! The pv is alright... everyone is being dark and emo, which I don't care too much for, because their dancing is awesome! They all play with food, and then get paint splattered on their nice white clothes.... tsk. Anyways, they still look cool... che...

Please ignore me.... ^o^;;;;;;;;;;
