I'm actually in love with this song right now... it's just... so awesome! This is FLASH, the b-side on HALCALI's latest single, Long Kiss Good Bye. Seriously, I have this song on loop, and I constantly listen to it on the bus. I dunno... the rapping is pretty intense and awesome, and then the chorus - FLASH my HEART - and then, I just get insanely happy when they start "mada minu kono saki wa DREAMER"~ It's just an awesome song... ahhhhhh, HALCALI!!! I want to see them again~~ *rolls on floor*

Because I love them so much, I want to post up the live version of this song... And yeah, this is the same DJ that performed with HALCALI in Chicago... and... I really like Haruka's (long hair) voice... I can always hear her when they are singing together... everytime I remember seeing them on stage in Chicago, I get a little choked up... I really want to see them again...

HALCALI released a new single~~! Although I've known about it a couple of months ago, I've only just recently seen the PV. Oh man~! All of HALCALI's singles are so awesome! It's called Long Kiss Good Bye, and it's used as the ending theme song for the 7th season of Naruto. Well, I don't like Naruto at ALL, but I suppose it's great for HALCALI, because, after all, Naruto is a popular anime. HALCALI has also done the ending themes for both Eureka Seven (Tip Taps Tip) and Power Puff Girls Z (LOOK). I didn't realize that they did songs from anime until I planned to see them in Chicago ^^;; Long Kiss Goodbye reminds me a little of Tip Taps Tip, where they do a rap, and then the chorus comes on, and it's just so sweet! This song is just so calm and relaxing and is just done so wonderfully~ The PV is alright, with both Haruka and Yukari dressed up brightly - literally! I really like their outfits though... ^^

Also, I noticed that someone used my picture I drew for HALCALI, and put it together with the live version of this song. This person didn't credit my picture, but after I talked to him, he put my link in the description. Anyways, the live version of this song is good too, because of the DJ~ ^__^ I'm assuming it's the same DJ that performed live with HALCALI in Chicago...

I want to eventually buy and own all of HALCALI's albums and singles... but I'm really considering buying this single when I get paid... we'll see. I wonder when they'll release Zig Zag Saturday Night (the song they perforn in concert in Chicago)... maybe it'll appear on their next album...

The other day, I was handing out a couple of souvenirs to my parents when they handed me a card in return. I first though "What? It's not my birthday!", but when I opened it, I realized it was a graduation card. Right! I remember, I graduated! Haha... I always forget that. When I opened it up, it said "We hope you had a great time in Chicago because this trip is on us!!"~ Yay~ ^__^ I'm really happy that my parents decided that the money I borrowed from them for the trip is my grad gift - that means I don't have to pay them back ^__^; Thank you~~ <3<3<3

Also, when I was hanging out with my sister today, we were in the model shop in china town, I saw another cute figure I wanted to buy~! I asked my sister if she could buy it, and I'd pay her back, but instead, she bought it and said that it was her gift to me for graduating~ Haha~ Thanks~~ She also bought me new shoes today (which I'll pay her back for later).... Anyways, here is the cute figure I got today~

Jun from Doko Demo Isshou in the box!

4 More )

Anyways, I said in the previous post that I would put up some photos of the swag I got in Chicago~~ I think I mainly spent my money on artbooks and figures, which, is what I was hoping to spend it on. I'm kind of sad that there was only one vendor selling Pullips, which were the EVA ones.... I don't really care for EVA at all... haha. But, I was able to get my hands on the next figma, Haruhi~

Haruhi Suzumiya from the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya in the box

Swag~~ )

Yes yes... I also must post the autographs I got~~ Presenting, HALCALI's autograph~~~

Oooh~~~ So lovely~~!! I don't think they did this on any other signatures, but Yukari wrote Thank U on mine... I'm assuming it's Thanks for the gift art I gave them ^__^ Thank you so much~~ It made me really happy to get their autograph~~ <3<3<3

I also bought a Peelander-Z poster, and tried to get everyone's autographs~~!! Aww... it's really too bad that I couldn't find Peelander Green.... where were you?! Anyways, this is hanging on my door now... ^__^

Okay, that's it for today... too many pictures lately! Haha~ I hope next time I post, it'll be about my new job... I have to fill out forms now... bah...

WHOOOO~~ I AM BACK FROM CHICAGO! It was a week, eh? I actually got back yesterday, but since I was all gross from riding on the bus for so long, I just stayed over at my sister's house. I think I've had enough bus for the rest of my life!! It's nice if the bus isn't too full, then I can have a 2-seater all to myself, and lie down, but when the bus is packed, it's very hard to sleep. Next time, I'm taking the plane!!

Anyways... I GOT TO SEE HALCALI!! Not only see them in concert, but also meet them, get their autograph, take a picture with them and give them a gift~~! I was and still am sooooo happy that I got to meet them~~ They were both so cute and shiny!!

LOVE BEAM~~!

I'm in this photo, but I cut myself out (there is a full photo later in this post)... I'm kind of sad this photo isn't of better quality... But there they are, holding my picture and reenacting it~! HOW AWESOME IS THAT?!!

Please excuse how horrible most of the pictures turned out:

On our way there.... )Cosplay photos.... )HALCALI and Peelander-Z )Chicago... )
Next time I post, I'll put up photos of all the swag I got. Oh! Also, the signed CD~! Anyways, I'll be listening to Zig Zag Saturday Night on repeat for a while... thanks for taking the time to look at my photos, and read my ramblings ^__^ <3

Tomorrow, I need to start looking for a job... ^__^;

So, I'm leaving tomorrow! It's kind of hard to believe... it came really quickly. I know I'm kind of making a big deal about this, but, I've never left Canada before... and the only time I do go anywhere is when I visit my family in Manitoba. So really, I'm friggin' ecstatic here!! I'm nervous and kind of scared, but I know it will be fun! And I'll get to see HALCALI~ I need to write a list quickly of what to bring, and then start packing... I don't want to bring too much, but I'm worried that I may forget something important...

I've been busy all weekend drawing a portrait for my dad. His birthday is actually on the 14th, but since I'm gone, me and my sister celebrated it yesterday... the drawing didn't look too much like him, but I think he liked it... I bought a frame for it, and it looks pretty nice. I'm glad I'm finished it though... I'm really not that good at realism...

Oh, btw, a couple of new Pullips... [info]kaoko_cow posted a couple of pictures of the new girl, and man, I want her so much~! I love her hair and the colors~! I love both her outfits, especially the spotted one~! She's soooo cute, and even her eyelids are painted. I don't care much for the new Dal though...

Photos from Frickart Dolly Shop. Seems like her name is Celsiy(セルシー)... kind of cute ^__^ Please check out the blog for the new Dal... ^^

Anyways... gotta start packing.... I hope I can take lots of photos!!  See you guys in a week~

I'm getting more and more excited~! The trip is coming up so quickly~! I can't believe I'm actually going ^__^ We have our bus tickets, and our hotel room is booked! I should be getting my passport on the 8th, and I already have some US cash~! I just hope it's enough... I probably will be spending most of it at the convention. I also found out that HALCALI will be performing on Friday and Saturday... but I still don't know what time. I also don't know if it costs anything to see the concert or to get their signatures! I hope it doesn't cost anything... or at least, I hope it doesn't cost much.

Lately, I've been over at my sister's place. When I'm at home, I'm cleaning up... I cleaned the interior of my dad's truck on the weekend, and that took quite a while (he works in construction, so there was dust everywhere!), and today, I vacuumed the entire house, then cleaned the kitchen floor, and removed the spots on the carpeted areas... I still have to finish a picture for my dad, for his boat (it's supposed to be a muskrat racing in the water - he has attitude!), cook one meal for them (I've never made my parents a meal before... eheh) and I still have to work on my dad's present... which, I must draw with either charcoal or ink... I hope I can do it. I'm not very good at portraits...

I've also been playing my DS a lot lately! Mainly, I've been playing "The World Ends With You"... why is it translated that way? I don't know... I keep accidentally calling it "It's A Wonderful World". Just a while ago, I finally found the new "Taiko no Tatsujin DS" game (I was so blind, and I couldn't figure out why no one uploaded it yet) and I've been playing that for the last 2 hours! I think I know more songs in this one than the previous game!

Also, I downloaded some kind of Pilates game... it shows you how to do every move, has programs set up to target certain areas, and keeps record of your progress. You have a model that demonstrates everything, and if you work hard, you can unlock items for your model! Also, you have some sort of tree that will grow with the more work you do. It's pretty cute, and using a game to motivate me to work out helps!! Actually, did anyone know that I actually did Pilates before? I did it for a long while, and I got pretty good. After a while, you can feel it effect you in everyday life... you can keep your balance more, and you are better at controlling your muscles. I think I stopped doing it because I was tired of the video I was following... Hopefully, I can work hard, and do it again!! Because, today, I stepped on the scale... and wasn't happy with what I saw. I need to eat better!!

BTW, this is what I ate today... it's a combination of many things. I often can't decide what to eat, so I just throw it all together... I don't know if anyone else would find this tasty, but I sure enjoyed it!!

Fried rice with cabbage, green onion, chicken, peas and carrots, with egg on top. Broccoli and octopus wieners around the plate... What should I eat tomorrow?

I found another video... originally from Nico Nico Douga. I suppose it's kind of like the sequel or b-side 組曲『ニコニコ動画』(Kumikyoku "Nico Nico Douga") which can be seen here if you've never heard of it before (this is the version featuring Miku). If you watch some anime, you'll probably know some of these songs - if you are into the Nico Nico craze, you'll probably know more of the songs and references. Anyways, this "sequel" is called 合唱 ニコニコ動画『裏組曲』 -2nd Track- (Urakumikyoku "Nico Nico Douga"). I got 21 references... which I think is more than I got the first time I saw Kumikyoku... Pretty good!

I have two commissions on Gaia... I should probably start those - or go to bed.... >.>

My jaw hurts lately... I'm not entirely sure why, but I believe it has something to do with my wisdom teeth. For those of you who do not know, I actually have 6 wisdom teeth - 2 on the bottom, 4 on the top. On the top, the 2 extra teeth are actually pretty tiny, and one of them pokes out on the side of my gum. Anyways, for the last couple of days, my jaw has been hurting, and it's hard to chew on one side. I thought that maybe it was a tooth on that side, but after a couple days, I found out that it's definitely coming from my jaw. When I yawn, I have to be careful when I close my mouth, because it'll lock up a bit!! It scares me everytime!! I wanted to make an appointment with the dentist yesterday, but seems like the place is closed till the 28th... I guess I can deal with it then, but because of that, I decided not to get a job yet...

I decided that it's pretty dumb to get a job now, and then have to book days off for my wisdom teeth removal, and then right aways take a trip to Chicago! So, I asked my parents to lend me some money, and, while I'm not working, to help around the house! I'll do anything, as long as I can make some money~

I'm really excited about going, and seeing HALCALI, but I hope I can get my passport application in on time... haaa.... I really shouldn't have put it off so long. I hope that things will go smoothly when I submit it! I totally don't really look forward to the 3 day bus ride that we'll have to take to Chicago, but it is much cheaper than taking a flight... I'm going to need to take lots of stuff on board, so I don't get bored... haha.

Anyways, because I'm so excited, I wanted to draw a picture of HALCALI~! So, I did... but, it's also for the sketchbook assignment blog that my teacher created... with the theme "Future", because I plan to see them in the near future~!!

I will probably print it off and give them a copy... unless I do something better~! I also got my Cyborg no Oretachi cd in the mail the other day, which I hope I can get them to sign~! RAUGH~! I'm really excited thinking about it now... *chews on desk and hurts jaw some more...*

I'm in a crit right now... and it's going pretty slowly. I don't really want to present my stuff. I have one more crit tomorrow, and I'm done... the thing is, this is the DEMON PROJECT, that I very much hate... haaa...

AND STOP SNOWING ALREADY!

So, it looks like I am going to the con in Chicago~! I was debating this for a while, wondering if I should go there, or just stay here for Otafest. Of course, I have to pay for travel and hotel, and I didn't want to go if I was going alone, but my friend agreed to come along too. He's much more experienced with traveling, seeing as he goes quite often to Japan and LA... So, I'm kind of letting him handle most of it... Seems like we will be taking the bus, which sucks a bit, because it'll be nearly 2 days to travel there... but it is cheaper! I need to get another job right aways here. If it wasn't for him, I'd probably be like, "Ah well, it's too much trouble, never mind...", but he motivated me to get my passport photos, and I'm filling out the application now... I just need a guarentor... and hopefully, he'll contact me back soon!

So why all this for a con in the states? One wonderful word - HALCALI!!

I love HALCALI, and they are performing at the con in Chicago! How can I not go? I totally want to get their autograph! I'm kind of sad to say, but I don't own any of their albums or singles, so last night, I bought their latest album, Cyborg no Oretachi, online. I love this album! AUGH~! I'm so excited!! I really hope everything goes smoothly, and that I can meet Haruka and Yukari~! I kind of want to make them something....

I've been a bit lazy posting this. I recently bought the Yuki Nagato Figma figure... and it's such good quality!! I'm amazed by all the different ways she can bend and tilt! So many poses~ The plastic skirt and sweater are so soft, and can bend easily... the stand she comes with helps her pose whichever way she wants, and there are tons of extra pieces. She has 5 sets of hands, two sets of shoes, two books (one open, one close), two faces, two bangs (one with the glasses attached) and a folding chair! Also, because it's the first release, I got the Figma brand scarf! AWESOME! Seriously, this is a very good figure, especially for the price! And even though I haven't finished watching Haruhi yet (ahahaha...), Yuki is just so cute~ Time for pictures...

In the box... even the box is nice~!

+3 more )

These photos aren't very great. I took them in a hurry, and they don't really demonstrate her amazing pose-ability. I will take new pictures soon~ For now, I must continue on with my project... haaa... only 2 weeks to go...

Hehe. I feel like posting up some music I'm currently listening to, and talking a little about it. I don't think it'll be the same thing as a review - more like me going on and on about what I like... hehe~ ^__^ So for my first song, I'mma gonna talk about HALCALI's latest song, It's PARTY TIME! Super cute, and super catchy~! I loved it as soon as I started listening to it. I've been a fan of HALCALI for a long time now, and I just love that HALCALI film their PVs in odd places... like the supermarket in this one. Though... it kind of seems like an advertisement....

Their outfits are super cute, and everything they do is just so fun and silly~! The dancers in the background are a bit creepy, but somehow seem to find their place in this video. The song itself is definitely catchy, with cute lyrics~ Even though it may not be their best, I really love this song~! It's super cute!! (*^*)v

(BTW, Giri Giri Saafuraida is the best song, in my opinion...)
