So I went to work for a vendor at the Edmonton con this weekend. My lover works for him every summer at different cons, but this is only the second time I worked for him (although, I think the first time I was working for his brother). Basically we unpack everything, sell it, and pack it all back up afterwards. I don't think I care much for all the packing and unpacking, but it was fun to sell the stuff to people who like it - finding people with your same interests~ I also made some good money - better than if I worked at Shoppers all 3 days... And, I also got my travel, hotel and food paid for~ So, I think it was worth it.

I bought a couple of doujinshi... 2 Azumanga Daioh and one Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya... they are all clean ^^ Haha~ I also bought a couple manga. I didn't spend much money, mainly because I didn't really get a chance to look around. Me and my lover (and fredericayang was there as well) sold our buttons... but I didn't sell that much this time. Oh well, at least I sold some!

Anyways, I took a couple photos of cosplays....

Our view from our hotel room... we had a nice hotel! It even had a kitchen and a balcony~

More photos~~ )

Anyways, that's all... As always, I had more photos, but a lot of them didn't turn out well, due to the bad lighting. If you couldn't tell, we were in a parkade. So, the money I made working there, I'm saving up for Vancouver... I think we are planning to go in either September or October... and we are gonna spend a lot of time at Book Off!! So I gotta save up~ Haha~~

Okay, Day 2 and 3~! Even though this is a huuuge post, I need to make this quick~ I'm trying to pack as I write this. I'm going on another little trip to Manitoba (more specifically, Steinbach) to visit my grandparents and family~ I'm excited, because I always like going to visit them ^__^ Steinbach (and Winnipeg) are waaaay more relaxed then Calgary... ^^ Okay okay, I'm posting~~

Outside the convention center... the place was right next to the ocean!

Day 2 and 3 )

And that wraps up Vancouver and Anime Evolution~ Vancouver was very pretty and felt so nice~! The ocean was awesome, and the place felt very relaxed~! The only bad thing about Vancouver were the creepy people. I have to admit, I feel safer walking downtown Calgary at night than I do in downtown Vancouver... ^^ Anyways, I will still do a post on the things I bought... I must go now and drop my luggage off at my parents house~~ I might take some pictures in Manitoba, we'll see ^^ So see you in a week~

WHOOOO~~ I AM BACK FROM CHICAGO! It was a week, eh? I actually got back yesterday, but since I was all gross from riding on the bus for so long, I just stayed over at my sister's house. I think I've had enough bus for the rest of my life!! It's nice if the bus isn't too full, then I can have a 2-seater all to myself, and lie down, but when the bus is packed, it's very hard to sleep. Next time, I'm taking the plane!!

Anyways... I GOT TO SEE HALCALI!! Not only see them in concert, but also meet them, get their autograph, take a picture with them and give them a gift~~! I was and still am sooooo happy that I got to meet them~~ They were both so cute and shiny!!

LOVE BEAM~~!

I'm in this photo, but I cut myself out (there is a full photo later in this post)... I'm kind of sad this photo isn't of better quality... But there they are, holding my picture and reenacting it~! HOW AWESOME IS THAT?!!

Please excuse how horrible most of the pictures turned out:

On our way there.... )Cosplay photos.... )HALCALI and Peelander-Z )Chicago... )
Next time I post, I'll put up photos of all the swag I got. Oh! Also, the signed CD~! Anyways, I'll be listening to Zig Zag Saturday Night on repeat for a while... thanks for taking the time to look at my photos, and read my ramblings ^__^ <3

Tomorrow, I need to start looking for a job... ^__^;
